A primative, previously uncontaced planet. A single, shimmering monolith hovering a half mile above its rocky surface. Doom? Or Salvation? This is First Contact, an original piece that started as a doodle in my sketchbook and over the next two weeks was given heavy attention in Blender, a 3d rendering program. This is one of my first full works from the program, and I'm very excited to see how far I can push the program.
